GTA V - GTA 5 o'clock - HUD revealed, phone explained and map updated!

One of the best shows to follow on YouTube that talks about GTA5, is GTA5O'clock.

They have great discussions about what we think we might see in GTA5. With wishlists and speculation as to what we think we want in the next GTA5 game, you can contribute by posting your questions and speculation of what you think RockStar are getting up to in GTAV.

I get lots of wishlists and emails sent about GTA5, but this blog is not really about GTA as such, it is more about my own (and your own), ideas for building a new style of GTA game, (newGTAgame). It would still have the gangster element, but you could also build businesses and would have to keep a balance between, doing good and bad things. (Or just go totally in either direction with your game, be a bad guy or a good guy).  [Continued below at **]

GTA5 Map (or game world) bigger? Why does R* waste time doing underwater? GTAV is supposed to be about stealing cars! All this talk about the phone apps, who cares? If I want to play games on a phone I can do that on my real phone. (perhaps just have Tetris). Instead of underwater design R* could have done more interiors. Every building needs interiors, R* could have done to go more 'The SIMS' style than 'Bass-Fishing' I think. Love your show, embedding your video on my NewGTAgame (.co.uk) blog.

Under The Hood. Smart Devices and The Cloud.
Three main areas to the Xbox One Console.

1. The revolutionary new console architecture - allows games to be developed more quickly, whilst providing much more processing power, (easily noticeable in the graphical displays). Games will come to life and be more realistic. (mentioned in later videos too, see below, click the link to open the full post).
2. Control with more devices, especially kinect! Also via a new handheld controller and SmartGlass for connecting and controlling via devices like mobile phones.
3. xBox-Live - totally re-created by the power of the cloud. (Uses 300,000 servers to provide xBox live to the world).

Pallet Machine Ideas For Pallet Factory In Business Game

These are specific examples that I would possibly like to see as designs within my perfect GTA game.

The ideas about the businesses side of my game design, are rough ideas of how the game could look and function. (The game is technically nothing to do with GTA as it is now, (at GTA4), except that I base my game ideas in and around the GTA4 game world as it is the closest thing to what I want).

A Limited Edition GTA5? What? Already?


My thoughts on the GTAV game, yes it is going to be awesome, all the GTA games are. But, I would have rather RockStar concentrate on Automotive Autos action and base the games and missions more around 'stealing-cars' as the Grand Theft Auto name suggests.

If I go to play, 'Sea-Bass' Fishing Tournament, (game), I would not expect to be driving a tractor, or flying a plane. So, why would you be able to go scuba diving and have a whole undersea world to explore in GTA5?

I put this together because my blog-search is not working, perhaps because there are too many posts and a long times line, as well as lots of tags for each story.

I've been told I should keep to just one tag per story, but that's really hard, like if I am talking about GTA5 running on the new xbox1, I would naturally tag or label it GTAV, GTA5, xbox1, xBoxOne, That's how I've always done it. (Is there another way)? Comment sil vou plais.

This is just my approach! But, if you try it, you will come up with some great ideas. Just think logically, how does this (whatever is the subject), work in the real world.


In stories, the way you must think when designing the game world, is to think.

GTA5 New From Gamersheep and INFO GTA5

Solo play allows you to switch characters, stepping into the three main characters lives wherever they may be. The way you can switch characters, has a Google-Maps feel and style of zoom out and back in to another character. This sounds very 'Driv3r' style (Driver 3). OMG and I hated that game!

The zoom out and in to a different character takes longer the further away the character is from your current location. Personally I don't see the point of that and it must have cost time and disk-space to code it into the game, that could have otherwise been better spent on more car customizations or more internal locations.

One of the big problems with GTA4 et al, is that there are not many indoor environments to play in. Even your living space in GTA does not really do much for the role play aspect of making you believe that you are in a real ‘virtual’ world.

Everything We Know About GTA 5

An awesome video from IGN. They talk about all the features we think we will have in GTAV.

Most important to me though, would be to know more about the vehicles and customization, as well as buildings and interiors, clothing and character appearance and what we can to personalize our game experience via the character. I would have also liked to know more about the money side of the game, as they talk about 'money is a tool' in the game.

Money in the past games, has not really been fully utilized. You could not even buy a car or a pad in GTA4!

I am both excited and disappointed with the switching of characters! Whilst I do think it is a great idea to play with different characters, like when you could play as the hit-man or wheel-man, in Scarface. I don't like the idea of switching mid-mission. It is like stealing the next scene from you. Doesn't it sound a little bit like the shitty DRIVER 3 experience of 'warping' or 'mental-telepathy' and taking over someone else's body! What a load of crap that was!

I've always been so very skeptical about the prior announced 'SPRING -RELEASE' date, rumor for GTA5. RockStarGames have now (Feb 1), announced the official GTA-V release date.

OK, replay GTA4, but this time, see if you can play through it without killing innocents, or not stealing any cars, (Don't do the steal-cars-to-order for Stevie. (Boats and helicopter thefts do not count as 'auto's')).  So, the end result is, it will be NOT-GTA! NO GRAND THEFT of AUTOS!

GTA IV RCMP Clan On Patrol

Wow, this is great! I love the role play here. I often play my own offline games, but they are usually based around making imaginary businesses in GTA4. For what could be, if we could only produce stock at factories and deliver and receive produced goods and raw materials at the docks and at the airport.

I would love to see someone make a forklift mod and make everything in the game have the ability to be picked up by the fork-lift-truck. Everything that needs forks to pick it up that is. Like a pallet load of boxes. Cars and other vehicles even, perhaps like in the scrap yard. But, mainly, I am thinking of loading stock onto lorries and into vans, etc.

I'd like to see the Sprunk drinks factory and e-Cola factory working, with raw materials being collected from the docks and transported to the factories.

This video shows some of my ideas for a new type of GTA style of game, with a fully working economy, food, clothing, produced goods etc, going in and out of the GTA game world.




I do like what I see already in GTA5, at least it looks like RockStarGames are doing more with articulated lorries this time, like they did back in the old San Andreas perhaps. I hope for more, with fully working vehicle loading and unloading.
