When you first start the game, cut scenes will play to show you how you have got to where you are now. At first, you will get advice from a friend who will explain how things work in the real world, since your fall from grace and power. Now you have to start again from scratch at the foot of the ladder!
Your options are limited because there are no jobs about, crime is rife, yet the police and others are watching you closely to see if you mess up, as they want to get you back inside or in their debt so they can get you to do their bidding, or to even blackmail you and threaten you!
Life is going to be hard, but the work you put in will stand you in good stead. You will learn the tricks of the trade and build up a loyal and mighty army of followers. They will be doing the grafting for you before long because you are leadership material.
You have learned your lessons from personal experience, now and in the future when your business takes a knock, you won't have all your eggs in the same basket and others will fall in your place. (And they will be paid well to take the fall for you, that's more than anyone ever did for you, but hey, that's the kind of nice-guy you are now)!
