Olli43 asked; What price would I pay Rockstar to get my hands on an early copy of the game? Well, my answer is NOTHING, basically! I want Rockstar to produce the best game ever. I think that you can bet your life on the fact that, as soon as GTA5 is ready, Rockstar won't waste any time in releasing it.
These games cost a mint to design and produce, and Rockstar won't want to sit around waiting for 'the right time to distribute' this game. This is the kind of special game, that only comes out once every two to four years or so, and it is an unusually great game. Rockstar already know in advance that they are on to a winner. A GTA game will always be a successful release, even if Rockstar choose the worst possible time to release a GTA game, it would still outsell just about every other game release on the market.
My reply and comment to the question Olli43 asked was:-
PRICE? I would gladly wait till next July 2013 if R* would get everything right in the game! All interiors, full economy, no jets, tanks or jet-packs, zombies, laser guns or flying cars. You cannot carry 3 tons of guns and ammo. vehicles refuel (hooray)! It is stupid to be shooting pigeons. We need pool, darts and bowling. Dating and dancing too. Businesses that work, auto shops and custom cars, bring back low rider and tagging up the turf, vehicles that can carry cargo. Rent apartments etc.
And, if you know about my love for GTA, then you'd know what a high price (waiting till July 2013) really is to pay!

So, what I am saying, is that I really want Rockstar just to get everything right. I've waited this long, so whats another year? If it is true, (current rumors at July 2012), that Rockstar have taken out darts, pool and bowling and other aspects of dating, like girl-friends; Then I am totally devastated!

The WHOLE POINT ABOUT GTA GAMES, is the realistic role play and realism of the game. If the dildo is back, this would show that Rockstar are giving in to pressure from the Saints Row 3rd followers in trying to appeal to both markets at once.
But all that they are going to achieve, is to loose people like me, who want realism in the game!
I love GTA and I don't want it turning into SR3. I did buy and play all the SR games, I still have 1 & 2 and liked playing them well enough; But, I had to trade in SR3 because; I not only couldn't bear playing the stupid childish missions and silly unrealistic game-play and driving with totally unrealistic vehicle physics and handling;, But, after forcing myself to play half way through the stupid game; I also, couldn't even bear looking at the stupid game disk, or box anymore, sitting in my games collection. I will certainly never buy another SR!
I am usually quite placid and not one to give a damn. I am a live and let live kind of guy. But, when you start messin' with GTA, its fighting talk to me! I do hope the RockStarGames do not spoil or ruin the game in the ways suggested by the rumors.
Now I know Olli43, did not like the side missions of darts, pool and bowling, but I and many others loved them. And, hey... YOU DON'T HAVE-TO PLAY THOSE SIDE MISSIONS, or do any dates, (apart from missions specific ones like Michelle's 1st date, and the 'French Tom' mission date et al, in GTA4), if you don't want to! I've done it to prove it!
The main reason, it would be a bad idea to take those side-missions out, is that, an Irish pub, a bar like the Home-Brew Cafe or places of entertainment like sea-fronts and theme-parks, would not be complete or have the right atmosphere, if they did not have aspects like darts, pool or bowling respectively! And, like I said; YOU DON'T HAVE-TO PLAY THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO!
I want the realism to continue in the game, and whilst I was upset to loose the following, when we moved from GTA games like GTA Liberty City (LC), GTA Vice City (VC), and GTA San Andreas (SA), to GTA4:-
We lost...(If I remember all this right, (but don't bother correcting me, its not that important));
- planes - SA,
- police motor-cycle - SA,
- BMX bike, skate-park and pizza delivery - SA,
- gym - SA,
- ability to alter body weight via eating and exercising - SA,
- tattoos - SA,
- gangs & turf wars - SA,
- burglary missions - SA,
- garages to put your cars in at your safe houses - SA,
- low-rider customization - SA,
- low-rider-dance-offs - SA,
- dancing CJ style in the night-club (the controls) - SA,
- basketball & trick-shots - SA,
- articulated lorries (side missions) - SA,
- driving the train - SA,
- the farm vehicles - SA,
- the sea plane, sea helicopter and hovercraft - SA,
- gang colors and earning cash from controlled areas - SA,
- the taxi missions - SA,
- the paramedic, police and fire missions - SA,
- the fork-lift trucks - SA,
- Car lot Sales and demonstration drive. - LC,
- Trash-master missions - LC,
- certain areas like China Town, where you could be killed on sight - LC,
- the banger racing & monster truck - SA,
- the driving school, boxing & martial arts trainers -SA,
- firing ranges - VC,
- the movie studio - VC,
- the cocaine cutting houses -VC,
- the Cherry Poppers Ice Cream, (and drug sales from the van) -VC,
- And probably a dozen more things that I have forgotten...
- When we moved to GTA4, coming from GTA SA and others.
However, I did not miss:-
- the melee - dildo - SA,
- jet pack - SA,
- Hydra-jet - SA,
- The Tank or APC - SA
- the jumbo jet 747 - SA,
- collecting horse shoes and oysters. (how stupid was that) - SA,
- And again, probably a dozen more things that I have forgotten about...
And as for that dildo,
R* can stick that idea where the sun don't shine..!
Why? - Because you would never really get to fly a Hydra, a 7-4-7 or a Jet pack in real life would you, let alone physically being able to do it from a 'learning-how-to-fly-it' point of view. (Gangsters, (at the risk of getting a hit put out on me), don't tend to have those particular kind of smarts)!
It is unrealistic to expect that you would do any of this as a gangster type of guy. Not even in your wildest dreams or imagination. So I think someone at RockStarGames keeps loosing the plot, they just don't get it!
Nor would it be feasible, to expect to be driving a tank or APC through the streets on a regular basis. One-time-only would do it! You'd be caught and killed or end up in prison or loony-bin on mental health issue grounds, for the rest of your natural life! Its just stupid!
And as for that dildo, R* can stick that idea where the sun don't shine..! Lets hope the rumors are wrong and that Rockstar apply common sense to GTA5 and make it the best and most realistic game ever to date!
