This is just a short post about ideas for Romans Taxi-Garage. I was annoyed with RockStarGames only giving us 10 taxi fares to do in GTA4. I really love to 'play-cars' and back when we were playing San Andreas, you could do as many taxi fares as you wished.
I remember the surprise I got at (I think it was), 100 fares. The reward was a Red Taxi, (or was it nitros)? I cannot remember which order the rewards came in. I do remember having a red taxi-cab and using nitros.
Anyway, TEN? OMG you must be joking RockStar! I wold like to see more taxi jobs. And they should not even be thought of as missions. Its a job you do to make money on an ongoing basis. Whereas, a mission, (in gaming terms), is usually a one-off, once only episode you play in a game. It is not something you do over and over again.
So, I would like to see various 'jobs' that can be done on a regular basis, just like a real world job, you would do to earn money on an ongoing basis. One such job, has to be the taxi-driver job. This is a driving game after-all. Watch the video...
I am devastated at the rumors about GTA5 not having taxi and other services driving jobs, (if these rumors are true). We will just have to wait and see. It was a bad day when R* took out the paramedic, fire and pimp and all the other side missions that were in San Andreas, when we moved to GTA4.
The taxi business Roman owns, I would assume, is actually the low end, budget taxi business, because of the look and style of the Romans Taxi cars. The Yellow Cabs is the mid town, mid-range ordinary taxi business. Then maybe, something like the high-end cars could be of the Cognoscenti.

Roman's Taxi.
You can call Roman to send you one of the Bellic taxis for free. But, only after gaining Roman's favor. You get close to Roman by doing jobs for him, but mainly by socializing with him.Roman's drivers are always calling you a freeloader and insulting you, I nearly always kill them or beat them after the ride. They shouldn't have to be like this. The reality is, that the firm is picking up the tab for the cab ride anyway, so why should they care where the money is coming from for the ride?
After Roman's home and taxi garage get torched, Roman get the insurance money and starts a new cab company with even better cars. Roman's taxis are replaced by a fleet of gray -or brown Cavalcades, The drivers are the same as before, giving you lots of grief during the journey!
The WIKI says...About Roman's Taxi.
Unlike the other taxi there are a few advantages to using Roman's taxi.
- Roman will not always send you a cab at your beck-and-call.
- The taxi-ride of any length or location is free of charge.
- The driver won't leave the car due to a wanted level.
- It is a good choice for a drive-by, having someone else drive.
- If you accidentally do a carjack when trying to get into the taxi, the doors will be locked and you will not gain any 'wanted level'.
- If you already have a wanted level and get in the cab, the police cannot arrest you because the doors are locked.

Have a great day!
