Grand Theft Auto V: Official Trailer #2

GTAv the latest trailer from RockStarGames for GTA5, came to us on Nov 14th 2012, over a year after the first trailer. The full game is due for release in the spring, but that could mean anywhere from early February through to late April if I remember RockStar's history correctly!

No-one else is talking about this at this time, the point of RockStar's GTAV, being delayed as it almost inevitably is with every GTA release! Doesn't anyone remember? Like, I'm the only one who remembers RockStar promising San Andreas in the September of 2004  It was a similar story for Vice City due to be released in the August and getting to us in the September I think! And each in-fill game between then and now!



I hope I am wrong, but I think GTA5 will get the usual, (accidentally-on-purpose), unexpected delay due to bugs or technical issues, another hurricane or possibly more-likely; due to damp leaves on the track, of the main train that delivers the games from the manufacturer to Santa's house!

There is always a valid reason for the delay, (the fact is, the real reasons are that this game delay tactic is just another marketing ruse that Take2 and RockStar play on us with every GTA game release)! I hope they don't do it this time, but please just mark my words here! It's Now 16th November 2012 as I write.

But its still the best game of its kind on the market!

I am not happy about the jets in the game, but I suppose I will be in the minority there, since people just seem to want to play grab. smash and destroy all the time. It gets old real quick and is why I don't play GTA4's multiplayer very much. What about good dishonest gangster stuff, building your illegal businesses and trade routes? What about staying more stealthy and working without getting the attention of the law.

Is it called GTJ (Grand Theft Jetto)? NO - its not!

It just seems to me that RockStarGames are going against what they said in a previous interview, about keeping it real. I think RockStar have given in to those Saints Row the 3rd fans, and gone all goofy, like those stupid big-headed costumes you wear whilst doing a bank job at the start of Saints Row 3rd. How stupid and ridiculous was that? Really? Really? You've got to be pulling my leg, what a load of nonsense!

At this time, I'm probably one of the only people in this world thinking about NOT buying GTA5, because my hopes have been dashed about the promises to keep it real, being dropped to pander to the gamers-whims on making it have more appeal and play-ability.

Rockstar have altered the car handling, why, because some people cannot drive! They claim that the 'speed-boating' bumping effect of the cars has been removed, to make the cars 'stick' to the road more! WTF? I have driven those old cars for real and I can tell you, that GTA4's handling is pretty much spot on. If you do 90mph on an uneven road you do bounce and 'speed-boat' along and if you tap the kerb at 90mph its usually going to end-up with you in traction or waking up with a shroud round you and taking a ride in a Hurst.  

What's not real in GTA4, well, apart from about a hundred-and-one other things I could mention off the top of my head, but have somewhere else already. There's the bit about carrying a half ton of guns and grenades in your back pocket. From what I can see in the trailers, that hasn't changed. (No one-else seems to care about this, so I think everyone-else must be mad). Next is the bit about being able to fly jets, which is just as crazy as it was back in San Andreas, (especially with that jet-pack).

As a gangster, you cannot just go and grab a fighter jet! Whats that all about? Have RockStar lost it? You can guess that I never wanted fighter-jets. I don't mind having private small passenger jets, where you have to learn to fly them and take a pilots test etc. Then use them for illegal activity. But, this just seems to be smash-in, grab-it, fly-it like it was in San Andreas. I wanted a little more realism!

In my idea of a GTA style of gangster game, you'd build up businesses, choosing to be on either side of the legal fence or even straddle it! You could be a complete out and out evil gangster, or be an honest businessman or woman, fighting good or evil as you please. Alternately, the best game would come from putting a legal front on your illegal operations, that's where the master gaming strategy is needed. 

All those fools who can't play, can be like the out and out illegal traders and gangsters, just stealing their way through the game, or they could follow all of the rules like a very complex game of monopoly. Buying and selling property to get ahead in the game. All legal and above board.

Does GTA mean:- we will Give This Auto to you at the start of the mission?

I played all through GTA without stealing a car! So, why is it called GTA? Its a pointless name, especially when most of the missions do not revolve around having to steal a car! You are given a car or a truck or a bike, how come, is that? WTF and all that? GTA possibly means we'll Give This Auto to you at the start of the mission. DOES ANYONE-ELSE OUT THERE READING THIS, SEE MY POINT? Please comment! (Keep it clean and respectful - but I'll allow any point of view, so long as you make it clean and reasonable)!

if you don't have to steal the vehicle! is it?

Now, I'm not one to complain usually. But, why call the game GTA if it does not center around stealing motor vehicles? As a GTA gangster, you should be doing car-ringing, running illegal car imports and exports. Stealing to order all the time, (not just one-offs like in GTA4).

Then you should have vehicle parts, spares and repairs garages and parts imports and exports to run. There are lots of great ideas already floating about the net, but RockStar being the great and all-powerful games developer they are, can just ignore the obvious and make any type of game regardless of what they actually call it. Could the make a Harry Potter game 'without' Warlocks and Witches, no magic and no myths or legends. I bet RockStar could, going by GTA4!

Yes, it is a great game! It is the best game in the world, I love GTA! But, I cannot ignore the obvious. If you can complete most of the game without stealing cars, Or the majority of the missions have NOTHING to do with stealing cars or motor vehicles of any kind, then how can you ethically call it GTA? But, who cares about this? No-one!

Question: When is GTA not Grand Theft Auto! When its made by a games developer who has lost the plot and does not even realize it themselves!
