I've always been so very skeptical about the prior announced 'SPRING -RELEASE' date, rumor for GTA5. RockStarGames have now (Feb 1), announced the official GTA-V release date.

There was never any real doubt in my mind and I have just been waiting for this news. (I love to say; "I told you so!") Yet, I am just as devastated by the news that we have to wait till the third quarter, (again), for GTA5!
It is just typical of RockStar with a GTA release. I guess people like me are always going to be skeptical about RockStar's announcements. It is always going to be about marketing with RockStarGames. They will say dates months prior to release, to get the (media), press and gamer blogs and forums chatting about their release date, because they don't want to be the only people not talking about it.
Imagine, if you run a gaming blog or website, gamer magazine or news-service, you would not be very well respected if you missed the release of a massive game like GTAV. It is just a marketing ploy, but you can never be sure some game developers.
So, this is a note for you for next time, perhaps when GTA6 comes out. I will refer back to this post, to remind everyone, that yet again, RockStarGames have duped us all with the wrong date rumor of Spring 2013 with the actual date TBC (To Be Confirmed). Then just on the crest of spring Feb 1st 2013, we got this news of the 17th of September 2013 as the official release date.
