Wow, this is great! I love the role play here. I often play my own offline games, but they are usually based around making imaginary businesses in GTA4. For what could be, if we could only produce stock at factories and deliver and receive produced goods and raw materials at the docks and at the airport.
I would love to see someone make a forklift mod and make everything in the game have the ability to be picked up by the fork-lift-truck. Everything that needs forks to pick it up that is. Like a pallet load of boxes. Cars and other vehicles even, perhaps like in the scrap yard. But, mainly, I am thinking of loading stock onto lorries and into vans, etc.

I'd like to see the Sprunk drinks factory and e-Cola factory working, with raw materials being collected from the docks and transported to the factories.
The other connected businesses need to work too, like the cardboard box factory and the plastic bottle making factory, so that the Sprunk and e-Cola can be bottled or even canned. And then the full bottles get boxed and packed onto a pallet to be sold to stores and vending machine companies.
A lot of the surplus stock would go to export. All of these businesses would be tied together with a full economic model of business in the game world. It would be the best way to start this off, rather than trying to make all of the various businesses at once.
The whole point would be to first work-in and then later own the businesses! Just from a transport point of view, we could perhaps start with a basic company that has no moving parts for us. But, we just collect its produce from a loading bay, using their fork-lift-truck and loading it onto our own lorry, (that we should have to buy in the finished game).
We would transport the pallet loads of stock to the port, where once again, we would use the docks fork-lift-truck to put the pallets into waiting containers, ready for export. It would be great fun!
