GTA homes through the game.

Rent and Buy!
You can rent and later buy properties, only depending on cash-flow. Then even rent out places you are not using, but you loose the right to save-game if it is rented out. You have to have a business bank account to have the funds deposited without you having to collect in person. If you have no business bank account, then you have to call to collect money weekly on a Friday. If you miss Friday rent collection (before 8pm), via a cut scene, they tell you that a fellow called and collected the cash, showed proof of your ID and took the rent. (You've lost it)!

This is a harp back to one of the early missions, of things that happened to you when you first landed and got rolled for your wallet and passport. That's why you have had some difficulty and had to do some of the things you've done.


Your First Pad.
Car parking at your first flat for one car only out in the street, where you live alone in a bedsit, just like Nico's first pad. This pad can become a safe-house for your-self and half-way house for your new-workers later. 

Your 2-Bed Apartment.
Your better 2 bed apartment, parking outside for two cars. Up-town a bit, like where Kate (one of Nico's GF's lives). This is the place you live when and where you first get back with your wife and kids, (but you can still have girl-friends on the side for benefits like free medic pack, keeping your guns if arrested, cheaper respray and access to clubs etc).

The Family House.
Your own better family home, the first full house where you live with your wife and children. An area like where Mr Faustin Lives in Nico's GTA4. Has a one car garage and parking outside in the drive for two more vehicles. You can even use your front parlor for parley's with your business associates, like when your henchmen call. You can also use your basement for goods, like a locked chest of guns that you tell your wife is for your hobby interest of gun collecting. And have your first safe to keep money and documents, jewelry and special automatic hand gun.

The Penthouse.
Your Pent-House, (your wife doesn't know about it). is for entertaining the ladies or for business meetings. Also (I'm not sure about this yet but), the place you need to go to before going home to your final family home, the mansion. (described next). The penthouse is like Play-Boy 'X''s pad, the Jacuzzi should work and have underground car parking for 12 cars. This is a luxury complex for 4 apartments with 3 parking bays in the underground parking per apartment, one each his and hers and one guest parking space.

This is the idea for the Penthouse to Mansion duck and dive; To keep your family safe from your exploits, when you live in the mansion, you have to go to the Penthouse first, change clothes, turn off the lights and leave via the rear entrance, down the fire escape. Then cut through the alley and ring for a taxi to collect you in the next street round the block. (I think it causes more problems than just being able to drive directly to your mansion at any time you wish). But, its a realistic view of what may happen in a real gangsters life!

If this idea holds, then you would not have to go back back via the Penthouse to go on to your next business in the game, just go and get on with it. Any surveillance in the street would just see you drive up!

The Mansion.
The Mansion is your final family home, has a 2 car garage and parking for 3 other vehicles on the drive. A heli pad perhaps, on the lawn or roof or instead of the swimming pool. But, if we are just using the current GTA4 map and buildings, then no heli-pad. It is supposed to be a peaceful retreat for family living.

The Mansion would also have an office / study for you, with large safe and gun cabinet!

Notes:
The main point of the Mansion, is that of when you save your sick daughter, after the operation, she needs rest and recuperation, a full-time nurse and school tutor at home. You have to be able to afford these things. This is where your empire building must continue; providing for game longevity. Possibly after 365 game days after the operation, she could be up and about, out of a wheel-chair and start leading a normal life.
(Also perhaps the end of an epic game, who said life's too short)?

Missions Idea.
You could get an unwanted intrusion of the TV reality show 'Cribs' wanting to film and check out your place, that brings an unwanted spot-light on you and distress for your daughter. You may need to bribe the program makers to keep them off your doorstep, (or make them disappear)! 

In the Basement!
The Mansion could have a basement perhaps, like the Faustin house only bigger. Except unless if we are using the old GTA4 map, then just interiors would have to be added.

You are not stuck for safe-houses, since all your businesses are save points, you can change into what-ever work-clothes are relevant for the business and back again into your civvies, but you do not get the choice of wardrobe that you get at your home addresses.


Scarface?
If the game were to go on even past the mansion, we could have our own island, perhaps Liberty Island could be used? Maybe, terrorists blow up the statue and people no-longer want to visit it. The local government cannot afford to rebuild and it stands in disrepair till you can afford to buy it.

Build your own mansion, Scarface style, with Heli-Pad, pools and ponds with fountains, in-door and out-door swimming pools, gardens and avery, yacht, motor-boat and sea-plane launch and private landing on the mainland shore! Golf caddy vehicles to get around on the island and maybe a miniature golf course!

Have the Tony Montana portrait up in your office that is designed like Tony's office is Scarface, with all the CCTV screens to view around your property.
Ideal for drugs barons and all sorts of fun!
