GTA My First Business Premises

Nothing personal, its just business!

I was looking for a place to start, setting up my business in Liberty City. What I found was a whole lot of red-tape, (just like in real-life). As it turns out, you need licenses for just about everything. Sure, you can trade illegally, that's what I have been doing, selling everything and anything that I can find a market for!

I learned a whole lot, but I have realized that the only way to be able to make the big money and keep it legally, is to have your own business! I'm sick of hiding in the shadows, and I want to get away from my old life of dodging my old criminal friends. Whenever they see me, its hey Niko I need your help with this.

They are not really asking! If I refuse they start to lean on me, threatening to tell Dimitri where I am, etc. So it is easier to just play along for now. But, I am working my way into those backstabbing narks, by doing away with them one by one. I've got to be careful though, not to draw too much attention to myself.


Times are hard in Liberty City, there is a high crime rate, many people are out of work and that fact alone is one of the main reasons why there is a high crime rate. Only the wealthy can live a peaceful life, protected by unfair laws and bent coppers. The streets are just not safe for anyone who has nothing, no-back-up, no-friends and no-money!

My Dream.

Owning various factories and warehouses, improving live's of others. That's my dream.

I look around me and I see poverty and squalor, people sleeping rough with no-homes to go to, neighbors fighting and stealing from one-another. This is even worse than life back in the old country. At least back there we had smaller communities with people helping each other. If you lived in a small village like I did, you had friends, you had family. No-one was allowed to starve or go cold sleeping outside.

GTA IV Secret Room

This is great, almost like a Silent Hill type of hospital...

It is a great find, not like those people who say they have found a secret shop, then go in the Launderette that everyone-else and their dog knew of before them. The funniest 'Crazy-Fool' I came across was a lad saying he'd found a secret hide-out, (he has obviously not played the game), he was only in the old Sprunk Factory! (see the second video, it has my vote 'like' it)!

This is FAB though, I love it. Just when you think you've seen it all eh?

So, the next comment is nothing to do with the video per-se' but to point out, as an example, this is exactly the type of thing WE DO NOT WANT in any type of GTA game!

It is great stuff, great fun and (Its OLD game play), It reminds me of back to the days of my youth, playing in an arcade.




This mission is so much like so many of the past 2D games we used to play 20 years ago. What goes around, comes around! (Just with better graphics).

I will follow and LIKE this series from ACManish (Mainly because he makes great videos), not because Saints Row3 is a great game, (it is, but personally I don't like it as much as GTA).

My point is that it is entirely different to GTA. I mention that because, lots of people keep making comparisons between the two. SEE the VIDEO BELOW!

Those are my best tips for you! Why not go back and replay GTA San Andreas (and GTA4), then you will be well prepared to play GTA 5. I hope there will be a similar layout to GTA SA in GTA5. Although the map is supposed to be even bigger this time.

New GTA Game Themed Ideas Zombies

Hi,

I said I was not going to do this, but then I thought I'd at least post my ideas, since I was recently talking on a blog and the people I was speaking with loved the ideas and said they would certainly buy a themed GTA game.

Also, we talked of and agreed, that we can still keep the game within the realms of reality, (eg, no laser guns or jet packs), even though the 'Theme' of the game might be Zombies!

Sorry, I cannot say zimbies, zambies, zOmbies. zom bies.

I have always said I'm sick to my back teeth of zombies games. But hey, I love the George A Romero zombie flicks and I am into zombie movies like 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Zombie Land and all the older classics like Night of the Living Dead, et al.

This Guy Aint Bovvered

I just like Vito's yellow shirt! And the video is somewhat amusing. The police have total disregard for human life, they should have chased and arrested him. They will in my perfect GTA style of game. Shooting is the last resort.

New Victoria Police + Fire Brigade GTA IV

Wow! Look at these great mods. Don't you just want to drive these? Each vehicle type might be specially required for a certain mission type, with no clues to which ones will be required to complete a certain mission. This would be a great little voyage of discovery!

You could work out which vehicle you needed with a little common sense. Like, dogs in a police-dog van as support for other officers on the job. SWAT - I did not see any SWAT vehicles, but I'm sure he can mod anything! What about FIB vehicles too? (Yes, you heard me FIB, I did not get this wrong! GTA4 is FIB not FBI (for the Feds)).

The Cousins Bellic missions is where we meet our protagonist Niko and his side-kick cousin Roman.

There are lots of ideas for future GTA game missions within the GTA4 game missions themselves.

The locations alone are very inspirational for me, I always find myself imagining and dreaming about, what-if, we could use this building or yard for a business. Or live here or run a shop or some other type of business.

Anyway, I get very creative and excited about those ideas. So, whilst you watch this video, even if you have played it before and seen it a hundred times before. I ask you to now look at it through new eyes. Observe everything, (maybe I've missed something that you see; so, write in and tell me)!

Yo, (as LJ would say), we have some irritating technical issues. 


Update - 2012 01 12. I have not got round to fixing the three main issues, except we now have an MP3 player to back-up the Listen Now button above.  I will leave the old Listen Now in place for the time being, and try to re-record past posts over time.
All new posts should have the new MP3 player from now on.


The iSpeech listen now button has messed up, so I removed it. (Mostly it wasn't working anyway and they only give you a female voice in the free version. That's no good for the hard-man image, is it)?

Next, the AudioGo 'Listen Now' text to speech service, keeps going 'Sorry, this article is no longer available', and some of the ones that do play are matched up to the wrong posts! Bear with us, we are trying to sort it out. When I think I've fixed all the problems, I will remove this message.

Its usually always my fault, (just ask the wife), don't let this stop you from reading the posts or fitting together the puzzle of what post text goes with which AudioGo 'Listen Now' track. Just have fun.

Lastly, as if we needed anything else to go wrong, the SHARE / SAVE feature by Lockerz is also not doing its job. What The Funk next? So, sorry about all of that.

Yes you can!  You heard me right man!
Of course you can, but there are rules!

The major one is that I must totally approve of what you've written. We have spent a lot of time on keeping the ideas pure to real life antics and not float off into a fantasy world of lazer guns or zombies. As much fun as all that is, we want to keep it real.

There are no new official GTA5 videos by RockStartGames up to Dec 31st 2011.

All other YouTube videos are fakes unless released by RockStarGames. That single bit of info should save you a lot of time in the future!

There is no-need to keep searching for GTA5 news. RockStarGames will tell you first on their own channel if there are any new news items about GTAv.

SKYRIM. I am a Sky Rimmer!

Hi, Niko here.
I am a Sky Rimmer. If you are from New York, you are a New Yorker, right?  If you are from London, then you are a Londoner! Well, I've been living in Skyrim for the last week or two. I am a Sky Rimmer!

NOTE. I know the title is called SKYRIM (All One Word), but the 'Listen Now' podcast service vocal cannot say 'Sky Rim', if it is all in one word. Just accept it, OK!

This is just a quick post to get things going about Sky Rim. If you are wondering what the hell I am going on about Skyrim for on a GTA blog, then you will learn as you read on, that GTA could take a lot of inspiration from Skyrim.

Skyrim has been a real adventure. 
I have not been able to stop playing the game. It is a real classic, (or will be). It is a totally impressive game, with vast areas to explore and interact with. I do have some issues with Skyrim, Like, why can you not fire a weapon whilst riding your horse, like you can in RDR? It would seem to me to be a basic 'must-have' in a game that uses horses in battle.

Skyrim has a lot to learn from Red Dead Redemption and vice-versa, the next GTA, (GTA5 (or GTA6)), could take a lot of inspiration from Skyrim. 

In this video, just watch the opening 5 minutes or so. It is from the Skyrim game producers, so pay particular attention to what is said about their goals for the game.

Saints Row 3 is Crap!

Did the title upset you? Saints Row 3 is Crap! It really is, What a waste of time and money, pointless game it is. (And I was a Saints Row fan). Here's the proof, by their own admission, Saints Row 3 is OTT! Ridiculous, pointless and absurd.
